YouTube, Douyin). We store only the authorization token — never your platform passwords
- Content you publish: Videos, images, and text you upload for automated publishing

- Device information: Operating system version, app version
- Usage logs: Feature usage records and error logs (for troubleshooting)
- IP address: For security verification and service access control
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- Your social platform account passwords
- Payment card or financial account information (payments are handled by third-party processors)
- Contacts, location data, microphone, or camera data
2. Google / YouTube Data
Whale Pod Browser uses Google OAuth 2.0 to access your YouTube channel for the sole purpose of automated
video uploading on your behalf.

- Our use of Google user data complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use
requirements
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve the application's features
- Execute automated publishing tasks you initiate
- Send service notifications (e.g., subscription renewal reminders)
- Diagnose technical issues and security incidents
- Comply with applicable laws and regulations
4. Data Storage and Security
- Your data is primarily stored locally on your own device (Whale Pod is a desktop application)
- OAuth authorization tokens are stored encrypted and never transmitted in plain text
- All network communications use HTTPS encryption
- We implement access controls to limit server data access to authorized personnel only
- In the event of a data security incident, we will notify affected users within 72 hours
5. Information Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share data only in the
following limited circumstances:
- Third-party platforms you authorize: Such as YouTube or Douyin, solely to execute
publishing actions you initiate
- Legal requirements: When required to comply with a legal obligation or lawful
government request
- Service providers: Technical vendors who assist in operating our services, who are
bound by confidentiality agreements
6. Local Storage
As a desktop application, Whale Pod uses local storage (SQLite database) to save your account configuration
and authorization tokens. This data resides in your device's application data directory and is not uploaded
to our servers.
7. Children's Privacy
Whale Pod Browser is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information
from minors. If you believe a minor has used our service, please contact us to delete the relevant data.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
- Right to rectification: Correct inaccurate personal data
- Right to erasure: Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Right to withdraw consent: Revoke third-party platform authorizations (e.g., YouTube)

9. Data Deletion Instructions
If you wish to remove your data and revoke Whale Pod Browser's access to your social media accounts (such
as Facebook, Instagram, or YouTube), you can submit a data deletion request.
Please send an email to support@whalepodbrowser.cn with the
subject "Data Deletion Request". Include your registered email address or the social account name you
wish to disconnect. We will process your request and delete all associated authorization tokens and data
within 7 business days.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you via an in-app
notification or email before the changes take effect. Continued use of the application after updates
constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
